Hello!

I have never been in Sweden before then I have some questions for you.
How is the weather in August around Boras usually? Sunny and hot like last year in Germany? Or is it raining often there in August?
We plan to have a vacation in Sweden for a couple of weeks more after ET, can you suggest any particular place that is worth visiting? Do you think is possible to leave the trailer and the racing car hosted at the camping in Boras also after the ET is finished and get back to take them at the end of our vacation?
I would like to come to Boras driving my car+trailer+car and getting the bridge that connects Denmark to Sweden rather than a ferry boat.
Is it a good idea or can you suggest any better route?

Thank you!

But this year we have sun and all positive you can imagine:smile:. You can visit Gothenburg, the frontside of Sweden and then you can visit the backside, our capitol StockholmThefinger. You cant left your racecar in camping, but you can park it at my home if you want.

Hello Arne,
many thanks for your prompt reply and your kind offer to host the car.
I sent my registration form to our team leader but I am not confident there will be many cars from Italy this year.
In case we are few (at present I am the only one who confirmed) I would be more than happy to race for other nation's team available to host me.
I am STANDARD category.
Do you think this is possible?

You have to talk too Tommy Olsen about if you should drive for other country.
Hope you have more friends try to come to Sweden. If you want, you can talk with the manager for Borås Camping, she is from Italy and she know where you should go in our part of country, her name is Michaela. You can phone her, number is at our homepage Eurotrial.se
See you
Arne

Any experience on this bridge between Denmark and Sweden?
Do we risk to get stuck in line there for ages :shaking:, considering the traffic of august, or do you think this is doable???

I think it will be OK over the bridges... but it is expensive

It is much cheaper to take the boat between Helsingborg and Helsingör...

Some links:
Ferrie between Helsingborg - Helsingör. (http://www.hhferries.se/)

Thank you mates!
I know the bridges are much more expensive than ferries, but I am afraid I would not be able to pull the trailer+racing car on the ferry with my fuc#@d toyota corolla :shaking:

They will help you on the boat. I suggest to take bridge one way and boat to other. So then you will see both. We mostly used the boat, because of the price. Once we wanted to see the bridge and there was no traffic jams in July, so there propably isn't anything even now.

Jare, I think will try the bridge to come and the boat to get back.

P.S. I think I competed for your Team in ET 2007 S. Marino
P.S.2 are you the former owner of the ALFASTER?

Yep, thats me. How is the car nowdays? I've seen a video from San Marino where it rolled over and heard nothing since. Is it still broken after the rollover??

They reported to me that the present owner changed the engine and he is still using it. I remember it racing in ET 2003 Italy.
It would be funny to know how many racing cars of those times have survived until now and will be used in this year ET.
 for you in Boras

Bad news mates :(
last sunday i managed to injury myself working on my car to prepare it to ET 2010.
As result of this I have now one less finger Thefinger in my hands and obviously no ET this year.
I wish you all to have a hell of a party there and enjoy it also for me.
Many thanks for your help and see you in 2011!

I cut my finger off 12 days before the US Olympic Diving trials...I still made the competition and was landing in the water hands first from 3 meters. For you to say that a small thing like a missing finger makes it impossible for you to come to ET makes me think you are scared to compete!!!

Just a joke my friend...I am sorry to hear you were injured and I hope you heal fast!
