Hello
Here in Iceland ve put together the "old" street legal class two years ago.
That class is orginal Modified class. In last year there were a few drivers, but this year we had 3-5 competitors in all events and next year will have about 8-10 competitors.

All cars must have DOT marked tires and legal for road use.

This class gives an opportunity to come fresh in the sport without spending all the milk money.

To all of you formula offroad fans/drivers, do you think if this class would "make it" in Scandinavia and attract more competitors in the sport.

First of all; "Street Legal" has a quite different meaning in Iceland than is has in the Scandinavian countries.

In Norway we are working on a new class called "Offroad Sport", this wil be a mixture of trial and formula and allow timed courses. Sweden tried out the old "Standard" class in Habo this spring and we will take note of the experience from this.

I know that, about the street legal regulation here is different, you can use a 49" modified jeep for work here.
Do you have the regulation for the new sport class in english?
This new class, will it be in the same event as the other two classes?

The rules are only in Norwegian, as for now they have only been used for a couple of "Speed-trials" - much like your timed tracks in Formula Offroad.

These rules also make it possible for us to arrange "Hill climb", "Sand-drag" and "Mud-race". It is not ment as a 3rd class in Formula Offroad, but will be used for example when we have training in Formula Offroad.
